Based in the South East, the Optical Systems Engineer will be involved in all phases of the evolution of optical instrumentation development. The successful candidate will derive, analyse and optimise complex optical systems at the conceptual and detailed design level, with a focus on radiometry, image quality, scanning and detection requirements.
You will have a good degree in engineering or physics, with a proven track record in the design of optical systems with a bias towards imaging systems. Other skills of interest include electro-optical technologies, knowledge of CAD tools and Optical Simulation (Zemax or similar).
